Dhs600 million redevelopment for City Centre Ajman

Developer Majid Al Futtaim has announced a Dhs600 million redevelopment of City Centre Ajman that will see the mall almost double in size. The firm said in its announcement on Tuesday that the expanded mall, which is anticipated for completion in the third quarter of 2017, will feature 150 retail and dining outlets. The project is estimated to involve the creation of 500 new jobs, the firm said, alongside work on the the Al Zahia master-planned community and mall in Sharjah, as well as the redevelopment of City Centre Sharjah. .... 95.4% rise in passenger traffic at Dubai World Central

Passenger traffic at Dubai World Central (DWC) increased by more than 95 per cent in the first half of 2016, according to a report issued by Dubai Airports. The first six months of the year saw passenger traffic reach a total of 410,278, up 95.4 per cent compared to 209,989 passengers recorded during the corresponding period in 2015. Passenger traffic at DWC is mainly driven by flydubai that operates 35 weekly flights to five destinations from DWC. McGettigan's opens new branch in Madinat Jumeirah

McGettigan’s has opened its fourth branch in Dubai at Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Umm Sequiem. Reel cinemas will be opening a five-screen luxury movie and entertainment centre at The Pointe. The cinema will be in the Dhs800 million waterfront dining and leisure destination on Palm Jumeirah. Reel Cinemas at The Pointe will be a boutique offering featuring a movie theatre within a restaurant. Opening date announced for Dubai Parks and Resorts

More than 16,000 workers are putting the final touches to the Dubai Parks and Resorts entertainment park, which will include LEGOLAND and MOTIONGATE. The resort announced on Thursday that it will open on October 31 with 900,000 people expected to enter through the gates in the first two months. This destination will be comprised of three theme parks – Bollywood Parks Dubai, MOTIONGATE Dubai, and LEGOLAND Dubai, together with LEGOLAND Water Park. 2,400 hotel rooms to open in Abu Dhabi in 2016

A report has revealed that 2,400 new hotel rooms will open in Abu Dhabi throughout 2016. According to the Abu Dhabi Hotel Market Summary report by JLL, 200 rooms opened in Q2 2016 with the soft opening of the Four Seasons on Al Maryah Island in May, and an additional 2,200 rooms are forecast to be added to the market by the end of the year. Marriott Al Forsan Hotel to open in Abu Dhabi

UD Trucks Quester range now in the Middle East

UAE petrol prices for August 2016 announced

<p><br /> The UAE’s Ministry of Energy has announced the new prices for petrol that will be valid for the month of August.</p> <p>The “Special” RON 95 petrol will cost Dhs 1.62 per litre and the “Super” RON 98 petrol will cost Dhs 1.73 per litre. The “E Plus” RON 91 petrol will cost Dhs 1.55 per litre and diesel will now cost Dhs 1.76 per litre.</p> <p>In July, “Special” was Dhs 1.77 per litre, “Super” was Dhs 1.88 per litre, “E-Plus” was Dhs 1.70 per litre and diesel was Dhs 1.85 per litre.</p>....
