Kleindienst, the developer of The Heart of Europe island which forms part of Dubai's The World, has announced that the first beachfront villas are on track for completion this year.

The company said in a statement that the first show villa is close to being finished with construction having reached roof level.

Once complete, it will be furnished by Bentley Home - the first project for Bentley Home in Dubai.

Sweden Island is one of six islands which make up The Heart of Europe in Dubai which will be home to 10 deluxe seven-bedroom beachfront villas with a Scandinavian design.

Completion of all 10 villas is scheduled during 2016, Kleindienst said.

Each villa will span 20,836 square feet and special features include seven ensuite bedrooms, a snow and sauna room, floor-to-ceiling windows, expansive balconies, a gym and spa, a private infinity pool and landscaped gardens.

Owners of each villa also have the option to incorporate a customized, state-of-the-art party and chill-out floor.

The design of each property is inspired by the structure of inverted Swedish Viking vessels. The roof of each villa will resemble the upturned hull of a Viking ship.

Kleindienst said the new Bentley Home Collection combines traditional and modernist designs "with a little spirit of the British gentleman driver which the Bentley motor is renowned for".
