The value of the UAE’s exports of goods and services is on the rise, the Ministry of Economy (MoE) has said. News agency WAM reported that the MoE is predicting that exports will top Dhs1.3 trillion for 2016 – up from by Dhs1.25 trillion in 2015. The prediction came in a report issued by the ministry on the development of foreign trade for the second quarter, ending June 2016. The quarterly report, includes details on the expected developments of UAE foreign trade, WAM reported. It also highlights the performance of the economies of the GCC countries in light of reports issued by the international financial and economic organisations. Another chapter focuses on the recent initiative put forward by China to revive the New Silk Road, while air transport at the regional and global levels are also discussed. WAM said the final chapter was called Double Taxation and gave a “full explanation of this vital element of economic growth”.
