Jet Airways will step up services on the UAE-India route with the introduction of a daily flight from Sharjah to Kozhikode. The new service will be introduced on October 30, 2016 with the inbound flight departing Kozhikode at 9.25pm (IST) and arriving in Sharjah at 11.55pm UAE time. The outbound flight will depart Sharjah at 4.20pm (UAE) and arrive in Kozhikode at 9.45pm (IST). This new service will make Kozhikode the third Indian city to be connected by Jet Airways from Sharjah, adding to the daily flights that the airline already operates from the Emirate to Kochi and Mangaluru. Shakir Kantawala, VP Gulf, Middle East & Africa of Jet Airways, said: “UAE is becoming increasingly popular amongst the Indian population, be it for business travel, tourism or employment. “To cater to this growing demand, Jet Airways has progressively taken steps to enhance capacity on the route either by deploying additional aircraft or introducing wide-body options on the sector.”
