Arabtec unit wins MEP contract on Dubai Creek Harbour project

EFECO (Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai-based Arabtec Holding PJSC, has won a 113 million UAE dirham ($30.7 million) contract for mechanical, electrical and plumbing work at the Creekside 18 project, Arabtec said in a statement on Monday. EFECO will commence work on the project in July 2017 for a duration of 22 months, the statement said. The project features two 37-storey residential towers, located within the six square kilometre Dubai Creek Harbour master plan. The scope of work includes execution and completion of the MEP works of the two towers. Dubai-based Al Naboodah LLC is the main contractor on the project. The Dubai Creek Harbour mixed-use master development is a joint venture of Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding. Arabtec was the first private construction firm to list on the Dubai Financial Market in 2005. The company’s projects portfolio includes working the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel.
