The facility is scheduled to open to the public in April 2018, eight months ahead of KCH Healthcare’s $200m (734m) King’s College Hospital Dubai (KCH Dubai) development. The Dubai Marina clinic, which is currently in its design phase, will offer family medicine and dental services. KCH Healthcare plans to open an additional clinic in Dubai’s Umm Suqeim area in September 2017. Kevin Duffy, construction manager at KCH Healthcare, said: “Our Dubai Marina clinic is similar to the Umm Suqeim project; it’s a specialised facility in a highly populated area. “The project is in the design phase at present, and we’re hoping to start construction in 2017. We plan to open the Dubai Marina clinic in April 2018. It will offer family medicine and dental care,” he told Construction Week. KCH Healthcare’s Umm Suqeim and Dubai Marina clinics will supplement KCH Dubai, a 100-bed hospital currently under construction in Dubai Hills Estate. The company was created as part of a partnership between Ashmore Group, Al Tayer Group, and KCH London.
