General Motors will launch the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 for the Dubai International Motor Show.

Chevrolet on Wednesday released a teaser video of the all-new Corvette on social media amongst online reports that the December issue of Car and Driver may have accidentally leaked images and information on the car, including its reported 750-hp output. Based on the images and previously leaked photos of the Corvette ZR1, it features several more robust design features than the Corvette Z06 which is the current top Corvette model.

The most prominent differences are a more sculpted hood, larger lower air intake grilles above a more prominent splitter and a massive rear spoiler. Previous interior photos of the car showed that it would be offered with an automatic transmission, most likely the 10-speed automatic co-developed by General Motors and Ford for rear-wheel-drive vehicles.

The interior appeared on par with other C7 models but it had additional carbon fiber accents.

The Corvette ZR1, which is expected to come as a hardtop and convertible, is potentially the coup de grace of the seventh-generation sports car before General Motors is expected to move to a mid-engine configuration for the eighth-generation Corvette. A Chevrolet spokesman did not immediately respond to comment.
