Emirates Gas (Emgas) announced that all LPG cylinders supplied in Dubai will have a new shrink-wrapped identification seal on their valves.

The new seals are red in color and include logos of either Emirates Gas (Emgas) or the Emarat logo printed on them and was incorporated across all LPG cylinders from July 18, 2018.

In tune with the introduction of new shrink-wrapped seals affixed on LPG cylinder valves that feature a holographic tear off strip, the further adjustment to LPG cylinders in Dubai boosts Emarat's and Emgas efforts to protect consumers and ensure premium quality and safety assurance.

CEO of Enoc, Saif Humaid Al Falasi said, "The safety and welfare of our consumers is our priority, and as a wholly owned government entity, we strive to provide best-in-class services and products and will spare no effort to curb practices that can lead to potential risks and hazards. The introduction of these brand new LPG cylinder seals will maintain the highest safety standards in the LPG industry."

Emarat’s Executive Director of Commercial Sales Department at Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, Abdul Rahman Qassim Al Ali said "In partnership with Emgas, the change of the LPG seals is an utmost priority and comes as part of our collaborative efforts to maintain the safety of our customers, and to protect consumer’s rights. We encourage all customers to ensure that the plastic seal with the hologram is cut open in the presence of an authorized distributor representative. We also advise that consumer’s request a VAT invoice is provided by the representative in compliance with the law and to follow up on service queries or complaints."
