Emirates Sky cargo joined hands with UAE’s luxury car distributor Gargash  to transport two Alfa Romeo’s for the Gumball 3000 motor rally in London

The Dubai Airlines freight division took up the task to fly these from Dubai to London to compete in the race. The two cars, an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio and an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio were transported on board a Boeing 777 Freighter.

Gumball 3000 is an annual motor rally that started off in 1999, and takes place in different location around the world on public roads. Both the cars will participate in the rally as ‘Team Alfa’. 

“The Alfa Romeos, which will be sporting the Emirates logo throughout the rally, are getting first class treatment under Emirates Wheels and will be handled by our trained and experienced staff at Dubai, London and Tokyo,” said Moaza Al Falahi, Emirates vice president, Cargo Product Development and UAE National Affairs.

The team’s participation will also mark the 100th year for Gargash and its operations. The rally’s 20th Anniversary run took place this august with the first leg starting from London to Bologna. The next leg saw the cars driving around the streets of Japan and its historic places. Both cars were brought back to the UAE via the same carrier.
