The Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Jabor Ali Al-Dosari, while making the announcement when he paid Muturi a courtesy call, said, "his government is ready to invest 3.5 billion US dollars to go towards the responsibility which is under the government's big four agenda of affordable housing."

Speaker of the National Assembly, Justin Muturi has highly praised the move by the Qatar government to support in the development of 140,000 housing components in the country.

Muturi fostered for further partnership noting that it would nourish the already existing bilateral relations that the two countries share.

He recognized the magnifying relations that Kenya and the State of Qatar enjoy particularly after the historic state visit by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al- Thani last year in April.

Parliament of Kenya has over the years greatly gained from IPU forums chiefly through capacity building for MPs and its staff.

Al-Dosari also took the opportunity in order to invite Muturi to attend and be present for the 140th Assembly of the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU), which will be held in April this year.
