Mubadala, an investment company in Abu Dhabi has exchanged a set of well planned agreements with Uzbekistan which could further lead to investments in key sectors.

The fund is said to harness future partnerships across the conventional power generation, the oil and gas sectors and other renewables of Uzbekistan’s economy.

Managing Director and CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, Khaldoon Al Mubarak and Sardor Umurzakov, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade to the Republic of Uzbekistan winded up an agreement that includes exploration of investment and partnership opportunities in the traditional power generation sector in association with Uzbekenergo.

In oil and gas, Mubadala, through Mubadala Petroleum, has reached an agreement to explore potential opportunities in production improvement across a few gas and oil fields in Uzbekenergo, together with refining and petrochemicals.

There was exchange of official documents relating to agreements between Mubadala’s Abu Dhabi Power Corporation, JSC Uzbekenergo and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade to chase renewable energy projects in Uzbekistan.
