Tata Motors and its UAE distributor, United Diesel, have signed a deal with Emirates National Bank of Dubai (Emirates NBD) to offer financial services to the Indian automaker’s commercial vehicle customers

Under the terms of the agreement, the UAE-based bank will extend credit for the purchase of all commercial vehicles produces by the India-headquartered automaker and sold through United Diesel.

UAE-based customers seeking credit for the purchase of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles can expect preferential services from Emirates NBD, according to the signees.

Rudarup Maitra, head of international business for Tata’s commercial vehicles business unit, said: “This strategic partnership will offer preferential rates, faster turnaround times, and best-in-class financial services to all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle customers in the UAE.”

Hussam Al Hashimi, executive vice president and head of business and priority banking at Emirates NBD, further added saying: “Emirates NBD is delighted to sign a strategic agreement with Tata Motors and United Diesel, both key players in the commercial vehicle space.

“Vehicular purchases in experienced markets such as the UAE are primarily credit-based, and we are confident that our range of financing solutions and superior customer experience will enable great support to their customers’ financing needs, while widening our partners’ customer base,” he concluded.
