The export promotional agency of Dubai, Dubai export, has successfully implemented 60% of its design initiatives to support the first phase of Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030. In a recent meeting on developing export and industrial growth, Dubai exports have reviewed the overall outcomes of the first phase initiatives.

Director-General of Dubai Economy, Sami Al Qamzi said that Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 is launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with a vision to make Dubai into a global business platform for industries on true innovation, knowledge and sustainability with increase in industrial growth, independency and integration between strategic sectors and economy.

Dubai economy and its agency together are making the strategy into more cooperation between government and semi-government entities to progress modernize industrial activities, new industrial development and enforcement of labor laws based on the market requirement, stated by Qamzi.

Dubai has already seen a massive contribution from wholesale and retail trade, transport and warehousing, and financial sectors, but manufacturing is becoming the fourth largest contributor to the progress of the Dubai economy. Currently, Dubai becomes the hub of small and medium sectors such as chemical, foods, metal products, mechanical machinery, and equipment, all because of its favorable investment climate. Completing over 60% of the initial first phase, Al Qamzi is very much confident and stated that first phase is going to complete by 2021 and will enhance the production in Dubai no less than three percent.
