African countries and UAE tied to improve relationships for developing trade and increasing prosperity


His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has recently stated in a meeting that UAE has prioritized its relationships with African countries based on common interest and mutual respect to achieve development, prosperity, and progress in both the countries.

Adding to the points, he said that UAE has made progress in this goal by deepening the relations with African countries over the past years.

During the visit of Roch Marc Christian Kabore, President of Burkina Faso, both the leaders have discussed their bilateral relations and adopting ways, ideas to increase the trade and development between the countries. They have also discussed situations in Africa and the Middle East, regional and international issues of common concerns.

Meeting between Sheikh Mohamed and Kabore has resulted in many fruitful trade decisions. The major deal witnessed in the signing of two agreements between the two countries to expand their cooperation.

The first agreement aims to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion, which was signed by Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Alpha Barry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Burkina Faso.

The second agreement aims to support and finance small and medium-sized enterprises which were signed by Barry and Hussain Jassim Al Nowais, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, KFED.
