Dubai Airports in packaging has attracted a lot of interest in "Great Wrap" the first of its kind compostable industrial stretch wrap which is working in the direction of discarding a million tonnes of plastic from the environment brought to life by Winemaker Jordy Kay a 29-year-old who spend her savings in producing this biodegradable product.

Plant-based products is the ingredient in Great Wrap, besides plastic, and degrades with in 180 days after entering compost pile.

Kay commented, "It's a great way in which it is created but it is only as good as the way it is finished, When it degrades it forms into carbon and water and it is entirely toxin-free which means it can break down into a non-compost environment as well."

Since Great Wrap is a new innovation put forth the cost is higher than that of plastic.

the founder of Bobar Wines, Tom Belford, was the first customer of Great Wrap for its biodegradable wrap and is anxious to use the compostable wrap.

Great Wrap is eager to bring out a plastic wrap alternative for the consumer market also but for the time being is concentrating on the business to business market.

The biggest dilemma Great Wrap faces around the world is Business to Business. It's a positive change to see the general public using keep cups and reusable bags and Great Wrap highly believe that consumers are just a cherry on the cake. Kay Commented.
