UAE's Zulekha Hospital & Israel-based Health Plus join hands to promote medical tourism

A joint cooperation agreement in the area of medical tourism has been signed by the UAE-based Zulekha Hospital and Israel-based Health Plus. The collaboration aims to further improve all healthcare systems by exchanging medical knowledge and best practices.

In their comments, following the signing of this agreement, Dr Zia Ur Rahman Shah, Senior Director of the Zulekha Hospital Dubai, and Dr Tatiana Zhelninova, Head of Health Plus Middle East, said that the partnership would also, for the first time, enable patients from Israel who are undergoing dialysis to receive care while in the UAE.

Through the Holiday Dialysis scheme, patients who have previously been unable to fly due to continued dialysis therapy will now be able to travel to Dubai after travel constraints are relaxed and their dialysis continues-combining their holidays with better health care. Such health facilities will provide health checks, specialised oncology, neurosurgery, neurology, and telemedicine.

"We see this as an important opportunity for partnerships between two healthcare institutions and regions that will help foster socio-economic development across borders. We are pleased to create this progressive joint opportunity for healthcare professionals from Israel and the UAE," Taher Shams, Managing Director of Zulekha Healthcare Group said.

"Dubai and Israeli pharmacy are very well known for their big accomplishments. If two renowned suppliers of health care become one, the result can only be commendable. That's exactly what we're aiming for," David Berezin, CEO of Health Plus added.

Israel-based Health Plus is a Worldwide Health Care provider that offers treatment to the most innovative and technologically sophisticated medical facilities in the world, staffed by highly specialized scientists considered to be experts in their fields.

Health Plus has been an accredited representative of Hadassah University Hospital of Jerusalem since 2008, permitted to refer patients from Cyprus, Russia, Greece and other nations, while cooperating with hospitals in Israel and distinguished medical institutions in Cyprus, Paris, Greece and now Germany over the past year.

Both Zulekha Hospital and Health Plus have a clear vision of their Founders to be able to offer accessible, high-quality medical services to patients since the early years. Both sides firmly agree that not only will this relationship be of mutual benefit, but it will be of immense benefit to both economies and healthcare systems.
