The creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, Brand Dubai and Dubai Municipality have recently publicized a conglomerate to redesign public parks across the emirate to create them more engaging to visitors as creative, social and natural spaces.

The joint project is said to fall within the framework of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan which was launched by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum that arranges a all-inclusive future map for sustainable urban development with the aim of building Dubai the world’s best city to live.

Well aligned with the vision of UAE for the next 50 years, the master plan generates a development roadmap highlighted on augmenting the happiness and quality of life of its citizens, residents and visitors.

Dubai Municipality and Brand Dubai will be working diligently with each other primarily to develop a comprehensive conceptual outline and in carrying out the plan for redesigning public parks to meet the present and future needs of the communities surrounding them.

This construction of a joint park redesign project is intended at endorsing sustainable land use and boost community well-being and happiness, both key aims of the 2040 Master Plan, stated a top official.

Under the master plan, green and recreational spaces and areas devoted to public parks in Dubai are all set to double in size to help the projected growth in the number of residents and visitors," mentioned Dawoud Al Hajri, the Director General of Dubai Municipality.

He further noted, "Through the corporation with Brand Dubai, we will develop and implement new public park designs that will stimulate a deeper accord amid urban facilities and nature".
