Sheikh Mohamed made this remark during his meeting with Burkina Faso's President.

His Majesty Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, claimed that the UAE has prioritised its ties with African countries based on mutual respect and shared interests in order to meet their peoples' aspirations for development, growth, and prosperity.

He added that the UAE has made strides in this goal in recent years, deepening its overall ties with African countries.

Sheikh Mohamed made the remarks during a meeting with Burkina Faso President Roch Marc Christian Kabore at the Emirates Palace on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both sides addressed bilateral ties and ways to strengthen and expand them in different fields, as well as the situation in the Middle East and Africa, as well as regional and international topics of mutual concern.

Sheikh Mohamed greeted Kabore and wished him a fruitful visit, as well as wishing Burkina Faso and its people continued growth and prosperity. He went on to say that the UAE-Burkina Faso relationship has the capacity for development and growth in the areas of the economy, finance, and trade.

Kabore thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the warm welcome and expressed his desire to strengthen ties between the UAE and Burkina Faso, noting that the UAE is a groundbreaking development model that plays a critical role in promoting regional and international development, security, and peace.

Sheikh Mohamed and Kabore witnessed the signing of two agreements between their countries to extend their mutual cooperation during the conference. The first pact, signed by Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Alpha Barry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Burkina Faso, aims to stop double taxation and discourage tax evasion.

Hussain Jassim Al Nowais, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Business Growth, KFED, and Barry signed the second deal, which seeks to promote and finance small and medium-sized enterprises. Wam's
