The solar panels on the roofing systems of the sites of Emirates Glass and Lumiglass Industries will create some 2,800 MWh of green electrical power and save about 1,200 tonnes of carbon emissions every year which amounts to planting some 30,000 trees, Dubai Investments claimed in December 2021.

Concerning 3,000 panels with an integrated capacity of 1.20 MWp will be released on the roof coverings of the Emirates Glass centers to cover around 19 per cent of its power usage. The installment on the Lumiglass Industries facility was completed previously last year and has a capacity of 0.55 MWp.
