The United Arab Emirates' NMDC has signed an agreement with India's DCI to grow across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Africa.

The agreement was signed in order to expand business opportunities in engineering, procurement, construction, and marine dredging.

The National Marine Dredging Company (The Group) has signed an agreement with the Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI), which is administered by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.

The memorandum was formed to expand commercial potential in the Middle East in the fields of engineering, procurement, construction, and marine dredging.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed virtually by Eng. Yasser Zaghoul, Group CEO of NMDC, and Captain S.Divakar, Chief General of DCI.

The agreement calls for the two entities to collaborate on initiatives of mutual benefit and to exchange expertise in their respective areas of specialisation on projects in India, Bangladesh, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Africa, and other regions of the world.

The collaboration will take place on a project-by-project basis, across specific geographical regions of operation, through the development of joint ventures, or through a mutual agreement between the two parties for the purpose of gaining new business prospects.

Eng. Yasser Zaghloul, Group CEO, NMDC, commented on the MoU, saying, "This agreement is a declaration of intent between the NMDC and DCI that we are willing to extend our degree of partnership."
