The Higher Institute for Psychomotor Rehabilitation (ISRP), established in France, has announced the inauguration of the region's first Psychomotor Therapeutic Training Centre in Dubai. ISRP delivers novel therapy procedures for patients with neurological ailments.
Dr. Wadeia Sharif, Director of Medical Education Research Department at Dubai Health Authority (DHA); Dr. Abdulmajeed Alkhajeh, Consultant, Medical Education and Research Department at DHA; Taha Abdul Rahim Ketait, Director of Health Insurance System Management at DHA; Mark Soubiran, General Manager in Charge of International Affairs, ISRP; and Musa Alsadoon, Regional Director of ISRP made the announcement during a press conference at Sofitel Dubai DownTown.
Professor Alain Berthoz, Chair of Physiology and Emeritus Professor at the Nobel Prize-winning research institute (Collège de France), and member of ISRP's scientific committee, was virtually present at the occasion.
Mark Soubiran explained that he chose Dubai as the location for the first of its kind training centre in the Middle East to complement the emirate's and country's rising image as significant worldwide hubs for the global healthcare business.
"It comes after an in-depth analysis of the region's marketplaces, which found that Dubai and the UAE are among the most appealing healthcare markets due to advanced legislative systems and rules," he said.
"The centre will pave the path for collaboration and knowledge exchange with public and private agencies and authorities such as the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Abu Dhabi Department of Health, Dubai Health Authority, and Emirates Health Services," he added.
The emirate's extraordinary successes in the fields of healthcare advances and the quality of services it delivers in this sector, according to Musa Alsadoon, led to the decision to begin this project in Dubai.
"As one of the world's premier centres for creative solutions and advanced technologies, the centre will accelerate the development of the emirate's healthcare sector and services," he added.
