UAE and Russia examine measures to strengthen medical collaboration

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade have discussed ways to increase cooperation, exchange medical knowledge, and expand partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry in order to improve the effectiveness of the pharmaceutical system in the UAE and persuade more Russian businesses to move some of their production lines to the UAE.

The ministry briefed the Russian team during the meeting on the favourable environment the UAE has created to stimulate investments in the pharmaceutical sector in accordance with best international practises.

The conversations were held at the MoHAP headquarters in Dubai by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector, and Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the State Institute of Medicines and Good Practices of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The two officials also discussed ways to bring more Russian pharmaceutical firms and factories to the UAE and increase the availability of Emirati pharmaceutical goods on the Russian market. They also went over recent accomplishments and pharmaceutical advances in the two nations.

Al Amiri emphasised the significance of the meeting by stating that the two parties had the chance to review the finest global practises in the industry of pharmaceutical manufacture. In order to further enhance the local industrial basis, promote the sustainability of health care in the UAE, and meet the demands of all patients, they both agreed that relationships with nations with experience in the pharmaceutical industries must be expanded.

He emphasised that the ministry is eager to foster partnerships in the pharmaceutical industries by providing a supportive environment for the production of novel medical preparations, improving the country's pharmaceutical stockpile and ensuring a steady supply of medications. This meeting with Russian officials is part of that effort, he said.

Vladislav Shestakov stated that Russia is eager to expand its partnership with the UAE in order to benefit both countries' pharmaceutical industries.

He praised the UAE's welcoming atmosphere designed to entice foreign pharmaceutical businesses looking to grow their markets in the area for the amazing development and sophisticated infrastructure of the country's health system, particularly the pharmaceutical sector.
