To speed up the sustainable economic growth of both countries, the UAE and Kyrgyzstan have decided to strengthen their commercial relations and promote business and investment alliances. The two nations have decided to collaborate in the areas of agriculture, food security, manufacturing, IT, innovation, tourism, culture, logistical transport, industry, entrepreneurship, Islamic finance and securities, banking services, and education. They have also agreed to work together in the energy and renewable energy industries.
In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, this occurred during the second meeting of the joint economic committee between the two nations. In addition to Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Juma Muhammad Al-Kait, Assistant Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Economy, Abdilatif Jumabaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE, and Kanat Abdrahmanov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic, the committee was presided over by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, and Aqlbek Jabarov, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyzstan Republic with a number of representatives from the federal and municipal governments, as well as businesspeople and representatives from the private sector from both countries.
A number of memorandums of cooperation between the UAE and Kyrgyzstan were signed in front of the committee. A wide range of companies and other economic endeavours were covered by the agreements, but those in the food, agricultural, industrial, and renewable energy sectors received the greatest attention. The committee also agreed that in order to promote future food security in both countries' marketplaces, the next step should streamline the export and import of commodities and services.
The interchange of tourist delegations and the increase in the number of visits have both improved qualitatively over the last few years in inter-tourism between the two countries. The UAE and Kyrgyzstan emphasised the importance of the recent expansion of tourism and cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Zeyoudi stated: "We look forward to ushering in a new phase through the committee meeting that supports the expansion and sustainability of the economies of the two countries by enhancing joint economic and investment cooperation, encouraging the potential for establishing projects in various commercial sectors, and stepping up efforts to increase and diversify trade exchange commodities. According to the "We are the Emirates 2031" project, which aims to establish the country's position as a worldwide partner and an appealing and influential economic centre, this will further help to promote the growth of bilateral trade and mutual investments.
The UAE and Kyrgyzstan have decided to create new mechanisms and action plans that would strengthen bilateral ties in a range of economic and trade fields, support the growth of foreign direct investment between the two countries in sectors of shared interest, and expand the number of investment opportunities for investors and businesses in both countries.
