MoHAP hosts the first health and medical research conference.

The 1st Scientific Conference on Health and Medical Research was organised by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), one of the ministry's most recent attempts to create a vibrant scientific research system and enhance the knowledge and abilities of national cadres.

The two-day conference, which took place in Dubai, aided in the ministry's plan to create national cadres with knowledge of health and medical research.

In the presence of academics, medical professionals, scientists, researchers, post-graduate students, and local and foreign specialists, Ahmed Ali Al Dashti, Assistant Under-Secretary for Support Services Sector, officially opened the conference.

The gathering cast light on the most recent advancements in medical and health research, showcasing the effectiveness and experience of researchers as well as the extraordinary resources offered by university institutions and public and private health facilities.

Academics had a great opportunity to evaluate, discuss, and connect with other scholars around the world who share their interests at the event.

In keeping with the "We the UAE 2031" vision and the UAE Centennial 2071, Al Dashti emphasised that holding the conference supports the ministry's continuous efforts to establish a scientific platform that fosters research and innovation and increases investment in the medical sector.

"Through the National Centre for Health Research, MoHAP gives health and medical research its full attention while working to improve collaboration and coordination across academic, scientific, healthcare, and private organisations. In order to advance national indicators for research and innovation, which is the UAE's strategic goal, "said Al Dashti.

He emphasised that the conference was particularly significant because it covered important issues that need additional scientific study. He continued by saying that the ministry would continue to step up its efforts to improve medical and health sciences research methodologies in order to develop effective therapies that benefit patients and society at large.

A variety of medical issues were covered during the conference by researchers and academics, with a focus on diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, genetics, infectious diseases, environmental diseases, neurosciences, and mental health.
