A Partnership Agreement has been signed between DEWA and EPRI

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a preeminent worldwide organization for electric power research and development, has inked a strategic cooperation agreement with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

The agreement encourages dedicated collaboration in training and putting into practice the newest technologies in energy storage, grid modernization, renewable energy, and other areas.

EPRI will offer courses and training programs in many sectors to DEWA personnel. Data analytics, photovoltaic integration, energy-sector sustainability, distribution asset management, cyber security, smart grids, and renewable energy systems are a few of these.

Enhancing their significant role in predicting and forming a sustainable future is the goal of the training programs.

The MD and CEO of DEWA, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, stated: "We support the vision of the wise leadership to make Dubai a global hub for clean energy and the green economy, and to enhance its position as a knowledge-based economy and a global hub." The foundation of DEWA's success and accomplishments on a global scale are its personnel. To offer programs on career and self-development, we partner with the most prestigious national and international research and innovation centres. This enables them to continue their leadership and excellence path, meet the fast-paced changes, and transform obstacles into opportunities. They become more productive in all areas of growth as a result.

"It supports our goal of becoming a globally recognized sustainable innovative corporation dedicated to reaching net zero by 2050, as well as our role in accomplishing the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. Additionally, this solidifies DEWA's standing as one of the top utilities globally across all domains. We work tirelessly to invest in our calibre and help them maintain the progress and do more. While concentrating on luring and boosting Emirati skills and abilities, we offer a productive workplace that fosters creativity and advancement. We equip them with the essential skills they need to take charge of the future, take the lead in combating climate change, and accelerate the energy and digital transformations," Al Tayer, stated.

Arshad Mansoor, President and CEO of EPRI stated, “The clean energy transition will only be successful if we all work together to tackle today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.” Furthermore he added, “We are excited to collaborate with DEWA and drive innovation for a dependable, reasonably priced, and just clean energy revolution by utilizing EPRI's global experience in technology transfer, integrating new and developing low-carbon technologies, and modernizing the grid.”
