Schneider Electric Begins a New Stage of Industrial Growth in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Walid Sheta, the company's President for the Middle East & Africa, Schneider Electric has entered a new phase of industrial expansion in the UAE and the wider Middle East, driven by the increasing deployment of autonomous, AI-driven production systems that enable highly efficient operations with minimal human input.

During ADIPEC 2025, Sheta told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the company's strategic partnership with ADNOC is focused on introducing AI-enabled, self-operating production solutions to the oil and gas sector. The project intends to create a completely automated, data-centric manufacturing environment and is being implemented gradually through late 2026.

Schneider Electric is investing heavily to bolster its manufacturing base in the United Arab Emirates, Sheta said. This include increasing its footprint in the Jebel Ali Free Zone and establishing four new plants and facilities in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai between 2024 and 2025. In order to provide electrical equipment to ADNOC, TAQA, and other national organizations, the company has also started new joint production projects in Musaffah.

He also mentioned Schneider Electric's recent establishment of an electrical assembly hub in Sharjah that serves markets across the region, as well as a manufacturing site focusing on energy and data-center solutions in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

According to Sheta, the UAE currently makes up over 20% of Schneider Electric's Middle East and Africa output. Together, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are a major hub for regional supply and exports, and in the upcoming years, the company intends to increase its market share in the Gulf and Africa.
