Dubai Holding Community Management has partnered with PlusX Electric to improve electric vehicle (EV) charging accessibility across its residential communities. The collaboration introduces portable EV charging pods that provide residents with convenient, on-demand charging services without requiring permanent electrical infrastructure or extensive civil works.
The portable charging solution is designed to address the growing demand for flexible EV charging by allowing deployment wherever it is needed. By eliminating many of the infrastructure challenges associated with fixed charging stations, the initiative offers a practical solution for high-density residential developments while supporting the wider adoption of electric vehicles.
Residents will receive priority access to the charging service through the PlusX Electric mobile application, which enables seamless booking and service scheduling. Each charging pod is equipped with advanced monitoring and safety systems to ensure reliable and secure charging, creating a user-friendly digital experience for EV owners.
The service has been launched in Palm Jumeirah as the first phase of a broader rollout, with plans to expand across additional communities managed by Dubai Holding Community Management, including those under Nakheel, Meraas, and Dubai Properties. The phased expansion reflects the company's focus on delivering sustainable, future-ready community services while supporting the transition to cleaner mobility solutions.
