The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) CEO and MD, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, hosted a high-level team from PowerChina to talk about energy and water collaboration.

PowerChina-MENA's president and vice president, respectively, Peng Gang, PowerChina MENA Vice President PowerChina MENA Vice President Gao Fei Among the guests were Chen Yunpeng, Vice President of SEPCOIII, a PowerChina affiliate, and Hong Li, Chief Representative of PowerChina in the United Arab Emirates.

The conversations focused on possible areas of cooperation, such as joint R&D projects, smart grid solutions, water infrastructure development, and renewable energy projects.

Al Tayer highlighted DEWA's dedication to innovation and sustainability, notably in line with the goals set forth in the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, which seek to deliver all necessary energy by 2050 from clean energy sources.

The group from PowerChina indicated interest in working with DEWA to investigate new projects and share expertise in the water and energy industries.
