Doosan Portable Power is expanding its portable compressor range for Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets, offering compressors for a wide variety of applications that are specially adapted for the region.
The compressors cover a range of applications in industries such as construction, utilities, manufacturing, quarrying, and the oil and gas industry, the firm said in a statement. While Doosan offers a wide range of Tier 3 High Ambient models, its range also includes Tier 1 and Tier 2 engine-powered models, suited to the quality of fuel found in the MEA region.
With a free air delivery of 1270 cfm (36 m³/min) and an output pressure of 500 cfm (35 bar), Doosan’s XHP1270 compressor is among the newer models, offering dual flow and dual pressure.
The C185WKUB-EX-T2 model, on the other hand, is aimed at applications in construction. This compressor is among the smallest and has a free air delivery of 185 cfm (5.2 m³/min), operating at a working pressure of 100 psig (7 bar). Specially designed for use in hot climates, this model can be used for powering breakers and tools in road repair, demolition and refurbishment.
Another popular model in the region is the Tier 3 P260/HP220WYM-T3 compressor, which has a dual pressure option to serve a wider range of applications. Thus, the ‘two-in-one’ P260/HP220WYM-T3 dual pressure portable air compressor delivers air flows ranging from 220 to 260 cfm (6.2-7.4 m³/min) and pressures ranging from 100 to 150 psi (7-10 bar).
Doosan is also offering different models like the XHP900WCAT-T1 and XHP1070WCAT-T1 for use in quarrying, deep drilling for oil and gas exploration, water well drilling and pipeline work as well as foundation drilling in general construction. Both compressors have free air deliveries of 900 cfm (25.4 m³/min) and 1070 cfm (30.3 m³/min) respectively, at an output pressure of 350 psig (24.1 bar).
In line with the harsh conditions of the region, the mid-range 9/235WCU-T2 compressor is designed for larger air flows of 825 cfm (23.3 m³/min) at an output pressure of 125 psig (8.6 bar). The compressor features a Tier 2 Cummins mechanically controlled engine as well as a high ambient temperature (52 oC) package/cool box air flow system ideal for use in MEA. Environmental contamination in this model can be minimized with a drip proof base which helps to prevent the spillage of fluids.
