Phases 15 and 16 of South Pars gas field will be completed by June 21 and will be ready for full-scale use, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency.

Hassan Dargahi, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps official for oil and gas at Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters, said that by June 21 the facilities work on the two phases of the project will be completed, said the report.

The contractor of the national project said that completion of the facilities will help convert gas into fuel and to separate sulphur from sour gas.

The two phases will produce 56.6mn cubic meters of natural gas, 75,000 barrels of gas derivatives, 400 tonnes of sulphur, 1.05mn tonnes a year of liquefied natural gas, propane and butane, and one million tonnes of ethane to feed the petrochemical industries.
