Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) announced that it has begun construction on a high-tech multi-story sustainable facility intended for C&J Energy Services.

Slated for delivery in the first quarter of 2016, the 5ha facility will serve as the American energy service company’s regional headquarters.

In addition to regular offices, the LEED-compliant facility will also house an advanced Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) bay.

Based in Jafza South, the headquarters will a starting point for C&J Energy Services to deliver well construction, well completions and well services to the GCC’s oil and gas industry.

Commenting on the project during the ground breaking ceremony, Talal Al Hashimi, COO, Jafza said: “C&J Energy Services is one of the largest well construction, well completions and well services companies in North America. This facility lays the foundation for C&J to become a leading player in the Middle East region.

“We are confident that their new facility in Jafza will help them in establishing an impressive presence in the region at the fastest pace,” he added.
