Eurostar plans to offer 4G devices at Gitex Shopper


The UAE is very tech savvy and Dubai consumers are particularly very demanding when it comes to technology being offered at competitive prices, said a top official of Eurostar Group.

The company - headquartered in Dubai - pioneer and market leader in smart devices and value added products across the Middle East Africa region has grown through the strategy of tapping into new territories and expanding its portfolio of products and services. The group will sustain 40 per cent growth in 2015.

"We are currently bringing in a new range of products based on 4G technology. This Gitex Shopper Autumn 2015 scheduled on October 3-10 will offer unbeatable offers on the latest gadgets from the biggest brands and retailers. This year we will see new devices including both mobiles and tablets coupled with new statellite and Internet Protocol television, or IPTV, streaming products. The demand is escalating everyday and we need to constantly innovate in order to stay competitive in the ever growing technology market. Consumers are looking at accessibility to information while on move," said Yousuf Saidi, group chief operating officer of Eurostar Group. "Currently we are in the process of consolidating business in existing markets and are penetrating deep to offer the consumers value added services through effective marketing strategy so that we stay in strong position in our markets."

The group, on Monday, announced the launch of Asianet Mobile TV tablet and app for the GCC - a bouquet of twenty popular Malayalam television channels - that could be watched and an entire range of radio channels on your mobile device on the go. The service is launched in partnership with Asianet Mobile and Xperio Labs.

The Malaylam TV Tablet is part of the Eurostar ePad range and is designed specifically for the Malayalee community with access to TV and Radio channels any time anywhere. Priced at Dh279, the product is launched exclusively with LuLu Hypermarkets and is available all across the GCC. The tablet comes with a Free Activation and two months subscription.

Raju Jethwani, chairman of Eurostar Group, said: "Eurostar is pleased to launch the Asianet Mobile TV App and Eurostar Asianet Tablet. Eurostar has always been on the forefront of introducing innovative and latest technologies in the GCC and beyond. We are certain that Malayalam TV Live will be a game changer in its segment. The 3G function on the tablet will enable the customer to access their favourite channel anywhere, anytime."

The channels that are part of the basic package of Malayalam Live TV are Asianet News, Kairali, People, Jeevan, Mathrubhumi TV, Reporter, Kappa, Rosebowl, JaiHind, Flowers, Sakhi, Janam, Shalom, MediaOne, Amrita, WE, Kaumadi, Safari, ACV and PowerVision.
