Dubai is set to get its second Irish Village when Dubai Parks and Resorts opens in October 2016.

The brand, currently with one outlet in Dubai’s Garhoud, will open a new venue inside Riverland dining and retail area, which will serve as the gateway to the Dubai theme park.

The 220,000 sq ft space, featuring a 1km long waterfront, will be free to visitors regardless of whether they are buying a ticket to a park.

Irish Village joins other high profile brands that have signed leases to serve the park, including Famous Dave’s barbeque, Shake Shack, Katsuya and Jamba Juice, Dubai Parks and Resorts said in a statement.

Klaus Assmann, vice president of retail and hospitality Dubai Parks and Resorts, commented: "We started the leasing process of the 50-plus outlets available in May and in less than four months almost 50% of the units have been leased by great brands."
