Kyocera moves more into eco-friendly

Kyocera Document Solutions moves more into Ecosys a unique technology which is been used for their printers and MFP’s. ECOSYS. An acronym of Economy, Ecology and System Solutions, ECOSYS was introduced in 1992 and has been their core product concept ever since. Based on a hard-wearing drum and other long-life components, ECOSYS guarantees cost-efficient copying and printing with a minimal impact on the environment.

Talking about their product, Masahiko Murata, added, “The entire range of KYOCERA printers and MFPs is based on ECOSYS. At the heart of this innovative, market-leading technology is KYOCERA’s proprietary Amorphous Silicon drum. Amorphous Silicon is a ceramic component the hardness of which is next to diamond. As a result, our drums are extremely durable. In addition, other components used in KYOCERA printers and MFPs also have exceptionally long lifetimes. KYOCERA devices are exceptionally reliable and hardly require any maintenance – a distinct benefit for busy offices. This not only avoids unnecessary waste, but also ensures remarkably low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Whereas devices from other manufacturers require you to replace parts that might not even have reached the end of their lifetime when the toner is finished, KYOCERA devices only require you to replace the toner container. Obviously this means a great deal of money, and waste, saved.”

He further added, “Popular models over the past eight months are the TASKalfa 1800 and TASKalfa 2200. In May this year, our UAE partner sold 1,040 pieces of the TASKalfa 1800, and in July they sold 780 units of the TASKalfa 2200. In other regions of our EMEA sales territory (Europe and Africa), we can see this popularity too. Our brand is not just about the hardware, software and services that we provide. It is also about a powerful business philosophy. KYOCERA Document Solutions and in fact the entire KYOCERA Group work with a corporate philosophy that was developed by Kyocera founder Dr Kazuo Inamori. It is this philosophy that adds value not only to our business but also to our daily lives. ‘In both my professional and personal life, I have struggled with many dead-end situations which caused me endless agony. In those difficult circumstances, I would always go back to the fundamentals and ask myself, “What is the right thing to do as a human being?” Everything I do in my work is based upon this fundamental principle. Observing this rule, day in and day out, has brought me amazing results,’ writes Dr Kazuo Inamori on his website.

Finally, he added, “In the years to come, we intend to intensify and increase the awareness of our Managed Document Services in the region. A number of large accounts were quick to recognize the huge added value offered by our Managed Document Services and are quite happy with the way our products and services are helping them to run their business more efficiently, securely and sustainably. However, we do still see a lot of room to penetrate our concept even further.”
