The fourth Abu Dhabi Air Expo, which will take place on March 8-10, 2016, in the capital will showcase ultra lights to business jets and helicopters.

The show, which is held every second year, will put on static display 150 ultra light business jets. The exhibition is part of the Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week. The week will see six trade events under its umbrella happening in the capital, as Abu Dhabi aspires to boost its status as a leading global hub of aviation and aerospace, business tourism and specialised fairs and events. The three day Air Expo event is set to welcome over 20,000 visitors, including 5,000 from abroad, representing the aviation and aerospace industries.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation will be one of the 300 manufacturers and suppliers, who will showcase the latest innovations and developments in private jet aircraft, helicopters, executive charter services, airport equipment and services, avionics systems, insurance and financing.

The show will be spread over 70,000 square metres at Al Bateen Executive Airport, which is the hub of jet aviation in the capital. As part of Abu Dhabi Air Expo, Abu Dhabi Heli Expo will run in parallel, showcasing all that the helicopter industry has to offer. The Middle East Aviation Career Conference, which will also run during the week, will give a unique platform for industry partners to discuss the challenges in securing aviation professionals for the future.

Speaking at Press conference, Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said that Al Bateen Executive Airport looks forward to Air Expo 2016 providing regional aviation enthusiasts with the opportunity to explore the best products that the industry has to offer, provide global aviation leaders with a platform to grow their businesses, and engage with potential partners.

"The continuous support that Abu Dhabi Air Expo has enjoyed from local and international organisations demonstrates the need for such events that would develop the aviation industry in the UAE and the rest of the region, creating a rich environment for business potentials," he said.
